Editorial policy
Open Community Report aims to make community life easier to understand without presenting one group’s experience as a universal rule. We write clearly, check factual claims and make our editorial choices visible.
Accuracy and clarity
We review names, dates and factual statements before publication and use sources appropriate to the subject. Where evidence is uncertain or accounts differ, we say so rather than imply certainty. Our articles are intended for general reading, not as a substitute for checking a group’s own circumstances or requirements.
Independence
Editorial decisions belong to the publication. A proposed collaboration or commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a favourable view or approval of a partner’s claims. We do not present opinion as fact, and we make relevant context clear to readers.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review correction requests, check the relevant material and amend published work when warranted. Significant changes are identified in the article so readers can understand what changed.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so it is distinguishable from editorial work. Partner placements are identified wherever they appear. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that is the case, we label them accordingly and do not use them as evidence of real events.
